The story

CareerBuddy started in Lagos in 2018. Over the years, we've placed senior talent across 28 countries, run recruitment for fintechs and global tech teams, and rebuilt CVs and LinkedIn profiles for thousands of professionals.
What we kept hearing was the same story: talented people were tired of being carpet-bombed by recruiters selling roles with no salary, no context, and no reply once they applied. Companies were tired of paying agency fees for candidates who ghosted. Both sides wanted the same thing, signal, not spam.
So we built Jobs by CareerBuddy: an invite-only marketplace where every role publishes its salary band, every candidate is anonymous by default, and nobody gets carpet-bombed. Result: a 68% recruiter reply rate and a median of 14 days from first message to signed offer.
How we work
Four rules that keep this place honest.
Salary transparency is mandatory.
Every role publishes a salary band. Every recruiter outreach quotes a number. No 'competitive', no bait-and-switch.
Anonymous by default.
Candidates choose when their name and current employer become visible. Recruiters see 'Candidate #NNNN' until you reply.
Three companies. That's it.
Each candidate hears from at most three companies per month. High signal, zero spam, the opposite of LinkedIn.
Invite-only for candidates.
We review applications from senior talent. If we can't help you find a materially better role, we don't take you on.

We hire across engineering, product, design, data, growth and consulting. Mid-to-senior only, this isn't a graduate board.
